Puerto Rican Art Giclee Print, Las Negritas

The traditions of Puerto Rico include that of Spain, the native Taino Indian and Africa. To celebrate the African heritage, Black dolls are made throughout the island. Vivian has an amazing collection of these black dolls, some of which are depicted in this painting. The original 11″ x 14″ painting was completed by Sara Morales in 2011.

“Negrita” is a term of endearment in our culture.
