Puerto Rican Art Giclee Print, La Marqueta

This work conjures the sights and resonance in the bustling produce Marqueta of El Barrio’s 116th Street, that my mother and I would frequent during my childhood. Harvests of naranjas, limones, aguacates and ajo figure prominently in this cultural palette. The original oil painting is 16″‘ x 20″ and was completed by Sara Morales in 2013.
