Puerto Rican Art Giclee Print, Julito

The instruments used in traditional Puerto Rican music can be traced back to our three dominant origins. The conga, pictured here, comes from Africa. The guiro, a notched hollowed-out gourd, originated with the Taino. And the cuatro, a guitar-like instrument, was adapted from the Spanish classical guitar.
